About The Indiana County Endowment

The Indiana County Endowment (ICE) is a nonprofit community foundation dedicated to making charitable giving satisfying , easy, and effective. ICE enables you to make a personal contribution to Indiana County-- one that will benefit your community forever!

The Endowment exists so that our neighbors and neighborhoods can be enriched -- through social, economic, and cultural development. This goal, of course, is best accomplished by those who know and love Indiana County best.

Using ICE, you always have the flexibility to give based on your own preferences and circumstances. You may choose a specific nonprofit organization to benefit from your gift. Or, you may leave the grant making decisions to a small, local staff of dedicated  volunteers, whose experience helps them decide how to spend charitable dollars for the greatest benefit of the county.

ICE is a component fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation (TPF) the 14th largest community foundation in the United States. However, all donations to ICE will be used right here, in Indiana County. Established in 1945, TPF currently administers more than 1200 charitable funds, and its total assets are approximately $620 million
