How to apply for a grant

ICE seeks creative ideas and can often provide organization with the means to fulfill them! We encourage the involvement of citizens from a broad range of interests and backgrounds. No partisan, commercial, or special interests are advanced. Requests for assistance are considered as they relate to the present and future well-being of Indiana County.

The Endowment encourages requests that meet a need in, but are not limited to, the following categories:
  • support services in such areas as health, education, environment, and recreation
  • seed money for start-up costs
  • equipment or facility need
  • the possibility of generating additional funding
  • research of a specialized or technical nature
  • scholarships or fellowships to improve the effectiveness of an organization

Please note that ICE does have some specific limitations and is unable to consider grants for:
  • annual fund-raising campaigns
  • the support of sectarian religious activities ( grants can, however, be made to churches for other purposes)
  • capital funds
  • support of operating or maintenance budgets
  • individuals or individual hospitals

All grant applications must be submitted through the on-line grant portal at
